Flu season is around the corner, which means it’s time to get your annual Flu Shot!
The flu shot is recommended for everyone 6 months of age and older. People at high-risk for developing complications from contracting the flu are strongly advised to get a flu shot every year. High-Risk individuals include:
- Seniors age 65 and older
- Pregnant women
- People with Asthma
- People with heart conditions, blood disorders, or compromised immune systems
It takes two weeks after vaccination for your body to fully develop the antibodies it needs to fight off the influenza virus, so the sooner you get your Flu Shot the better!
